Little Relatives

My Telephone and answering machine turn on waking me up from my afternoon nap. I get up turn press a button and a little voice speaks. "Unca Matt You come over and eat Peeza!!" There's no way you could refuse an Invitation like that especially from my three year old nephew . I then wash up get dressed and go to my sisters for pizza . I get to my sisters house and find my My nephew and two of my three nieces greeting me at the front door . Right away they want me to "Play Toys" a there was a lot of laughter and running around. I even enjoy watching my Seven month old niece crawl on the floor .

It is such a good feeling to know that a child loves you and accepts you how you are . There's no judgements and as long as you push toy cars around on the floor . attend a tea party with your niece and are able to make up a "scary" story on the spot . All is right in somebody's world

OH DEER

It was a normal Saturday night . it was a little past the time I do eat dinner and I was hungry . I went up to the restaurant got my Coney Dogs and proceeded to drive back home. I live off of Dorr road in Brighton Michigan and at night it's a very dark road(7:30pm ish) . Half way home A BIG Deer Slams into the Drivers side of my Explorer Knocking the Drivers side mirror off and crushing the Drivers side door and rear panel . Deer Fur and deer goop also left at the impact area . The Deer ran off into the woods and most likely died after its adrenaline rush wore off.

I got the Explorer home and Called my Sister and tried to call my Mom and Dad who were at a wedding that night. Not really hungry any more and pretty upset at what had happened I contemplated the days ahead . Thankfully My Brother In-Law Came over and Checked to see If I was OK plus he didn't see the Deer anywhere on Dorr Road. Thank You Adrienne and Eric .

I let my friends Know mostly through FACEBOOK know that I was OK and do appreciate ALL Of the well wishes I received . Some friends lovingly called me "Bambi" Killer and other friends wanted "Venison Chili". But EVERYONE was relieved that I wasn't hurt . THANK YOU EVERYONE .

Monday comes around and it's time to take the Explorer to the Insurance Company and the collision shop . Since The Drivers side door was crushed I had to enter the vehicle through the passenger side and crawl over to the steering wheel. I get to the Insurance Company and . enter the building and am greeted with a "Hi Matt" which I want expecting . I tell "Danielle" the Customer service Representative . What Happened and where and Take care of the insurance claims with pictures . The Insurance place wasn't as intimidating as I was expecting and "Danielle" was also pretty nice . Good experience there . Luckily My Mom and Dad Helped me with a few things and got me started .

Next place to go was the Collision shop . And I luckily was helped by the shops owner. Very nice guy I showed him the Damage to the Truck and he even pointed out a Deer hoof print That I had missed seeing . Estimates were Written replacement parts were located and I'll probably get my Truck back in Two weeks.

Finally it was off to the Car rental . And after a bit of Hemming and hawing I finally rent a White Chevy Cobalt. Nice car Reminds me of FORD ESCORT I once owned . Even though the Second time I drove it the "TIRE LOW ADD AIR" Light went on. Luckily the tire place helped me with that for free.

So now I need to wait this out and things will get back to Normal .

Kids

I work retail and work a lot of different shifts . Mostly Very Early and Very Late . It's during these late nights that I see something that really disturbs me . Its people bringing in little babies into the store late at night . 10pm one night I was walking out of the store and this guy holding a baby basket was walking in. WHAT THE HELL!!!. That baby should be warm safe and sleeping at home. Some people have no common sense .

Pajama

Pajama day today. after working 4am until 12:30pm I came home took a nap and am still in my Pj's . I'll try to be interesting tomorrow

Lines

During the Holiday season you spend a lot of time waiting in long lines . It was yesterday in one of these long lines were I saw a family in front of me also waiting . I noticed their youngest daughter too. This little girl was about ten. she had the hair on her head shaved off , Was as skinny as a twig and walked with the help of a cane. But she was happy . Out with her family eating Ice Cream and enjoying what I hope was a very long life . My problems really don't seem that important anymore ....

One

So what did you do on New Years eve? Well this Holiday I took it easy and stayed home. Cooked a Pizza and watched the Movie Julie and Julia with my mom. I did set my clock alarm to ring at 11:55pm but when it did blast off I deemed celebrating the new year not very important. Getting up at 3:30am New Year day and driving to work at 4am wasn't too bad.
