Happy Christopher Columbus Day, Yeah I didn't know either. I was at work today and I saw Carie ,who has a Olan Mills photography studio in the store walked by me . Knowing she has Monday and Tuesday off but seeing her there. I asked her why she was working. Carie told me that she had to work because of the holiday. Holiday? I asked her . Yep, She told me it was Columbus day.
I totally forgot today was Columbus day but the day was mentioned to me a few days ago. Today we celebrate Christopher Columbus discovering the new world. Well, we're suppose to celebrate the day. It's one of those holidays that lost it's importance to the general public.I think the reason why is because there is hardly any Immigrants coming to America,Like there was 100-200 years ago. What I know of Columbus day is that its a Big deal to the Italian Heritage and Native Americans pretty much hate Christopher Columbus. Today is also Thanksgiving in Canada.
