I have decided NOT to attend my 20Th High School reunion . The high school I went to closed up and there really isn't anyone I want to really see. I'm the type of guy who didn't like High school and those 4 years aren't really important enough for me to revisit.
The last 20 years of my life have flown by . It feels like like it was yesterday being a little kid. A while ago at work I was setting up a table in the Produce department. My Boss Bennie was at another table with Trevor another guy I work with. Bennie was talking and asked me what year I graduated from High school I told him 1988, then Trevor started laughing and told Bennie something I didn't hear Then he started laughing. After asking them what was so funny Bennie told me that Trevor was BORN in 1988. Damn did I feel old. People born in 88 are suppose to be lil kids . I think I'll go rub on a tube of BENGAY .......

Why don't you want to go Matt? Just curious.
I wish I would have went to my 20th, it fell on the same day I was hosting a family reunion.
I loved the school I attended. Being a small town, the school was in a big building from K-12 (though they have built a new high school across the street a few years ago). All we did was turn a corner when we went to the high school.
I was not popular or unpopular in school and I got along with every 'click' and they got along with me. I had a nice set of good friends that I hung out with and a few of us stay in touch. I was always overweight my whole life, but I was never teased. Everyone treated me well.
When I was in the 11th grade I got into a fight with the choir teacher. It was awful, but I found out later it was due to a mental illness she had. She actually went 'nuts' the following year during school and had a few episodes that made the school have to fire her. She and her boyfriend were murdered a few years ago in a bad business deal.
Because of that argument the school thought it would be better to put me in gym. My first week went well, but then it was time to pick teams for a game. The coach of course picked the 2 most popular people in school to be captains, my heart sank as I 'knew' I would be picked last. To my amazement I was picked 2nd and I sucked at the game, but everyone on both teams would cheer for me when I did do well. They would also cheer me on when I would bring up the rear when we jogged around the track, at times many would have already finished and would come back to jog with me to the end. It was amazing how well I was treated.
There are many times I wonder how someone is doing that I went to school with. I am hoping to be able to go to my 25th in a couple of years.
That day my family is celebrating my nephews 1st birthday. I'd rather attend that...
